MONDAY MEDITATIONS FOR HEALING: A Commitment to Self for Caregivers

Good Morning!  Here is today's meditation to inspire your spirit to self-healing this week!

Have a WONDERFUL week!

Today's Quote

"Our anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows, but only empties today of its strengths."

~Charles H. Spurgeon

A Commitment to Self for Caregivers
(whether you are a healthcare provider or a family member caring for a loved one):

Today I will remember that when I worry about the future I pretend that I am actually able to control what happens.

I cannot.

I am powerless over what happens.

All I can do is focus on the present--every moment I spend in anxious anticipation is a moment I miss experiencing.

This week I will choose to let my anxiety go.

  1. There is something quite empowering about letting go of your worries. I have been working on this for a long time, it takes practice. For years I felt like I was just a "worrier" and could not change that. But anyone can change. I think it is a CHOICE to worry, but after a while it's such a habit I think we forget that. Beginning to CHOOSE to not worry can start a wonderful new habit.

I've been exploring this in regards to happiness. I always thought that happy people were just that way. No, it is a CHOICE. Choosing to be happy is very powerful. Choosing to be nice is very powerful. Choosing how you react to people/situations is very powerful.

Life is a bunch of choices....

    Sorry for my rambling. :)
