Blog world friends,As I'm sure you noticed, over the last few months I have not been blogging. My attention has been focussed on my family: my father's serious illness and my newborn son.
It is with great sadness that I share the news that my wonderful sweet Dad has died while awaiting organ transplantation. It was a beautiful death surrounded by friends and family just as he wished.
My Dad was a spectacular person who gave his life to the service of others. He was always my greatest cheerleader and maintained an optimistic attitude throughout his illness. We are grateful that my Dad's first organ transplant gave us 15 years with him (he had a rare disease that required transplantation) and held out hope that a second one would be possible. It was not to be.
